Offer Overlay Appearing Behind SWF

If the Offer Wall or Offer Details Overlay appears behind your swf, your swf’s wmode parameter may be set to the default value (‘window’). This prevents overlays from appearing on top of your swf.

There are two ways to solve this problem:

  • Use a wmode value that respects page stacking order (‘transparent’ or ‘opaque’), or
  • (DealSpot only) use DealSpot’s built-in JavaScript callback to pause and resume your swf when customers open and close the overlay. For example, when DealSpot invokes the onOpen callback, replace the Flash content with a game screenshot and then restore it when the onClose callack is invoked.
